Belonephobia

The fear of needles (Belonephobia)can be a dangerous condition, often preventing the suffering person from seeking medical attention when needed.

This condition can debilitate both children and adults.

Children are often afraid of needles but many outgrow their fear as they get older. The fear of needles can produce a variety of symptoms, whether in adults or children, from crying, to fainting, to a drop in blood pressure. Some sufferers can have convulsions and respiratory distress.

Many people have no idea why they are so afraid of needles, however in my experience curing this phobia I have found significant evidence to the fact that people develop this phobia from school years during the vaccination period and simply feed of each other, developing an unfounded fear of needles.

Some say the pain is too great for them to endure, which is 95% a mental state, and some say they had a bad experience as a child. For whatever reason you fear needles, it’s important that you seek help for this condition.

In my experience this is a process that requires a little in depth consultation to find out exactly what it is about the needle or injection that is the problem, is it the needle itself, is it the feeling on withdrawal or insertion, or could it be the thought of having blood being taken out of your body?
